I absolutely adore these two! They are so sweet, adventurous and such a joy to be around. I had a blast spending time with them at Harkness where we got to enjoy the amazing gardens and beautiful beach. Congratulations Alex & Skylar!

I think May is probably my favorite month ever! The weather is unbelievable and beautiful flowers are beginning to sprout up everywhere you look. Elizabeth Park is definitely one of the best places to be if you want to see Spring in full bloom. I'm so happy Myla & Dave suggested the park for their engagement shoot! It was the perfect spot to spend a May afternoon. :)

I love when couples suggest unique spots to take photos! Nibbling Brook Farm is definitely an extraordinary place. It's a Christmas Tree Farm but it is so much more than that. Sitting right next to the Mattatuck State Forest and surrounded by majestic pines, it's natural beauty is one of the many things that makes this place so special. It was the perfect spot for Tim & Marissa's engagement shoot and the best way to start 2016!
A BIG thank you to Nibbling Brook Farm for allowing us to use their beautiful property!

If you've never been to Mystic, then you are most certainly missing out! It's one of the cutest little towns nestled right along the Connecticut shoreline and is overflowing with history and charm. We spent the afternoon meandering through the downtown streets and had such a great time discovering all that Mystic had to offer. Though a bit chilly outside, it was the perfect place to warm the heart.
Kristina & Andrew- Thanks so much for spending your Monday afternoon with me! I had such a great time with you guys. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family this Holiday Season. Have a safe trip back to CA!

It's pretty amazing how perfect Matthias & Ashley are for each other. They both swam at Boston College, have a love for the outdoors and are from the Northeast! But even more then that is how right they seem for each other when they are together- their smiles say it all. They have two of biggest hearts in the world and I cannot wait to see what adventures the future holds for them.
Ashley & Matthias- As always, I had such a great time with you both! I'm so excited for you guys! You two are so great together. I'm already looking forward to your next visit (which hopefully will be soon)!

What do you do when it's Fall and you live in New England? Go apple picking! I love that Jennifer & Eddy wanted to go to an apple orchard for their engagement shoot. It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon soaking up the nice weather & beautiful scenery. And getting to hang out with these two was the icing on the cake!

These two are a long way from home but I think I can speak on behalf of Connecticut (and the ENTIRE Northeast) and say that we are sure happy they ended up here! We will take them for as long as we can. Jonathan & Christina are so sweet & I'm not exaggerating when I say their smiles will make you smile. Every time I look through their images, I catch myself grinning from ear to ear! They are such a joy to be around. Congratulations Jonathan & Christina! I am so happy for you two!

Sometimes you meet people in your life and you feel like you have known them forever! I got to hang out with Joe & Liz a couple of weeks ago in Central Park and instantly felt like we had been friends for years. They are two of the sweetest people in the world and together they make one awesome couple! I cannot wait until April to document their beautiful wedding! :)
If you find yourself around 70th & 2nd Ave, be sure to stop by the Beach Cafe (patio featured above). Awesome staff & I hear the food is great! And for all my Seinfeld fans, a little clip of the show was taped right outside the Beach Cafe!
Joe & Liz- I had such a great time with you guys! I seriously could not stop smiling on my drive home after the shoot. You two are so fun and I cannot wait to capture your Big Day in April! Hopefully I will see you guys before then!

I've been dreaming of warm weather since January, imagining the day when the snow would finally melt and I could see our grass again (which by the way, seemed nearly impossible). A day when ice cream would become enjoyable rather than serve as a reminder of the ferocious winter. But now, the air couldn't feel better and the grass couldn't be any greener. Old Wethersfield was the perfect backdrop for Erin and Scott's engagement shoot. A charming town and the perfect place for an afternoon stroll arm-in-arm with your main squeeze, your pup, and favorite ice cream cone!
Scott & Erin- Thank you so much for making the trip up to Wethersfield! It was so great getting to spend time with you both. Have a wonderful Summer! I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again in just a few months!!

Getting to know couples like PJ & Liz is the main reason why I love engagement shoots so much. I felt like I had known them for years! They are such sweet people with incredibly big hearts who have the gift of bringing incredible joy to those around them. :)

I think my new favorite thing may just be winter engagement shoots! What other time of the year do you get to see what was once was a big, beautiful lake take on a totally new form as a perfectly smooth, icy surface? Winter can be peaceful and wonderful in it's own unique way. And let's not forget the added bonus of being able to cuddle up in big, warm blankets while sipping on delicious cups of hot chocolate; all of which there was an abundance of on Saturday! Judging by Pat & Kylee's smiles, I think a winter engagement shoot was a win for everyone. :)
