When I met with Lauren & Greg to talk about what their wedding was going to be like, I couldn't help but get excited! They are such a great couple and I knew their big day was going to be a fun one to capture. And when the day finally arrived, everything turned out incredibly beautiful. The Simsbury Inn Wedding: Tim & Marissa

Someone once asked me what my favorite part of a wedding day was and honestly it's really hard to choose! But there is just something about the moment the bride & groom first see each other that gets me every time. It's not so much the look on their faces at that initial moment but rather it is the calmness & joy that encompasses them from that moment on. When Marissa finally got to hold Tim's hands and wrap herself in his embrace, there was not a care in the world. It was their day- so elegant & stunning and perfect in so many ways.

DCA Meadowlands Wedding: Tim & Tara

All week the weather forecast showed nothing but rain for Tim & Tara's big day. But as the date got closer the predicted weather began to show a little sunshine. And sure enough, on the day of, Tim & Tara were able to have the outdoor garden wedding that they had dreamed of; simple, beautiful and surrounded by those they love so dearly!

I had the BEST time with these two! And getting to spend the afternoon at one of my favorite spots (you must check out Harkness Memorial State Park if you've never been) was the icing on the cake. Nicole and Greg are such a joy to be around and I loved having the opportunity to capture their sweet smiles and awesome personalities!

I think May is probably my favorite month ever! The weather is unbelievable and beautiful flowers are beginning to sprout up everywhere you look. Elizabeth Park is definitely one of the best places to be if you want to see Spring in full bloom. I'm so happy Myla & Dave suggested the park for their engagement shoot! It was the perfect spot to spend a May afternoon. :)

I love when couples suggest unique spots to take photos! Nibbling Brook Farm is definitely an extraordinary place. It's a Christmas Tree Farm but it is so much more than that. Sitting right next to the Mattatuck State Forest and surrounded by majestic pines, it's natural beauty is one of the many things that makes this place so special. It was the perfect spot for Tim & Marissa's engagement shoot and the best way to start 2016!

A BIG thank you to Nibbling Brook Farm for allowing us to use their beautiful property!

If you've never been to Mystic, then you are most certainly missing out! It's one of the cutest little towns nestled right along the Connecticut shoreline and is overflowing with history and charm. We spent the afternoon meandering through the downtown streets and had such a great time discovering all that Mystic had to offer. Though a bit chilly outside, it was the perfect place to warm the heart.

I was able to spend some time with Tom, Kris, & Tessa recently & I must say, they are one fun family to be around. It's obvious that Tessa, who by the way has the cutest little giggles in the world, has inherited Tom & Kris's love for life. My favorite thing about family shoots is getting the chance to capture everyone's personality. I think you can tell from the photos exactly which one loves the camera (hint hint: pictured just below). I had such a good time with the Doyle Family! Connecticut Wedding: Scott & Erin

 The storm clouds were rolling in all morning and several times during the day, I wasn't sure how long the rain was going to hold off. But everything continued as planned; the ceremony took place in the middle of a beautiful vineyard. There was laughing, crying, and even a little dancing! It wasn't until after the reception had begun that the clouds opened up and it started raining- as if part of the plan all along. A perfectly lucky way to end the day! :)

It's pretty amazing how perfect Matthias & Ashley are for each other. They both swam at Boston College, have a love for the outdoors and are from the Northeast! What do you do when it's Fall and you live in New England? Go apple picking! I love that Jennifer & Eddy wanted to go to an apple orchard for their engagement shoot. It was the perfect place to spend the afternoon soaking up the nice weather & beautiful scenery. And getting to hang out with these two was the icing on the cake!

Smith Family

As you can imagine, a family of boys can get a little on the hectic side but Ryan & Tennaly make it look easy! Their three kiddos have a lot of personality and I loved getting the chance to capture every moment of it. Mac, their newest addition to the bunch, is as cute as a button and is already holding his own with his older brothers. I have a feeling this year is going to be a great one with a lot of amazing memories as a family of five!

Connecticut Wedding: Andrew & Jess

I honestly love everything about Jess & Andrew's wedding! It was such a beautiful reflection of them and honestly, that's what it should be about. From their gorgeous ceremony held in an 18th century church to their stunning reception at The Lace Factory, everything was absolutely perfect. And to top it off, a quick stop at their favorite bar and run in with the local steam train made it that much more amazing!
